Title

Life is More Of The Same. This is not a bad thing, at least not usually. I admit, the days can blend together, but at least I get up, walk around, and am not doing so through a grey goop. Not at the moment, anyway.

I've gotten back to interacting with some of the people I started my online life with, and back to role playing. I'm stretching mental muscles I haven't in a long time, and it feels pretty good. I've reignited some old passions and unfortunately, some bad habits have reared their heads, but one major thing has changed. I have made a commitment to acknowledge when I do wrong, apologise for it, and to do better. Without excuses.

Of course, I'm not going to be perfect at it, but I do want to make sure I'm more thoughtful, more kind. Which means I definitely need to be less impressed by my own cleverness, especially since most of that cleverness tends toward the immature "gotcha, har har" and the self-deprecating. Sadly, even the self-deprecating usually is "you're like this, but I am too, so that's okay." It's really not. Speaking to or about anyone negatively is just that, regardless of whether I'm doing it with humor or not. And that's anyone, even myself.

I listen when I talk to Raven, trying to poke my hindbrain into thinking it's about me. And while it may be hyperbole, it's a far sight better than hyperbole in the other direction. Of course, it's only hyperbole about me. Raven is the sweetest, most wonderful dog in the history of everything. Because all doggos are.

I got a new printer tonight, partially because I'll want to be printing out character sheets again. I'm currently playing a few characters, Lanier Grey, Wendy MacTiernan, and Fawn Galbraith on a message board. I say playing, but I've only posted with Lanier so far. I am also planning to make a corax. Because duh. I printed out the sheet from Mr. Gone's already. Next steps are familiarizing myself with 20th Anniversary Edition Changing Breeds again and actually stat-ing out the sheet.
